Roblox Studio for young developers aged 8 and over

During the course, your child will learn to write code in the LUA programming language, create objects, characters, animation, design landscapes - he will create his own game universe on the Roblox Studio platform.

The course consists of 90 lessons, 50 minutes each

What does the child learn?

This course will teach your child how to work with all the basic elements of a game developer: from programming and working with sound to creating animation and 3D modeling.

Module 1

1. Introduction to Roblox Studio: getting to know the interface and creating a gaming world.

2. Working with objects: using transformation tools and adjusting objects.

3. The first variable is working with computer memory.

5. Using a while loop and an if condition.

6. Instance features and service.

7. Creating a simple obby using the knowledge gained. Set up and publish the game.

Module 2

  1. Working with methods and studying functions.
  2. Working with events and components: mastering touch events, the Players service, studying ClickDetector, ProximityPrompt, and Tool components.
  3. Creating game elements: developing accessories, clothes and using animation for characters.
  4. The final project: the implementation of a clothing and accessories store using the skills gained.

Module 3

1. Creating your own characters and getting to know the RigEdit plugin.

2. Introduction to the main events of the character's movement.

3. Introduction to the main events of the character's interaction.

4. Creating characters, programming pet taming actions, and managing animations

5. Familiarity with events common to all sites.

6. Work with tables and save multiple values to a variable.

7. Familiarity with methods that return lists of game objects.

8. Working with the foreach loop, pairs and ipairs functions.

Module 4

1. Creating non-player characters (NPCs). Introduction to Dialog, DialogChoice, Configuration components. Creating a communicative character.

2. Creating a pet protector and flying projectors. Introduction to the VectorForse component.

3. Working with physical restraints. Creating a physically correct carousel and balloon.

4. Working with modeling tools. Creating objects of your own shape.

5. Introduction to the work of the DataStoreService service. Save and load data in the game.

Module 5

1. Creating a map for the game and programming the appearance of monsters.

2. Introduction to the Blender 3D modeling tool for use in Roblox Studio.

3. Create items using animations, sounds, and parameters for the game.

4. Creating a character using animations, sounds, and parameters for the game.

5. Character movement programming, animation control.

6. Creating interactive objects with sound, parameters, and effects.

Module 6

1. Working with interface elements. Creating and positioning objects in 2D.

2. Creating interactive buttons on the player's screen.

3. Working with TweenService. Creating animations using code.

4. Working with interface elements. Exploring and creating a status-bar.

5. Working with the UserInputService service. Handling keyboard keystrokes.

6. Exploring the features and differences between Script and LocalScript components.

7. Introduction to how the RemoteEvent component and RemoteFunction work for client-server interactions.

Module 7

1. The basics of monetization in Roblox. Working with the tools provided by the platform to make money on it.

2. Creating and selling Robux. Turning the game's currency into real money.

3. Promoting and advertising created games. Increasing the engaged audience.

4. Asset management and market trading. Creating and selling gaming accessories and elements.
